Hi friend, I’m Raquel, a preacher’s daughter turned firefighter’s wife, a mama navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood, a woman chasing after God’s purpose, and someone who believes in the power of real stories (and a good laugh).
I grew up in the church pews, where Sunday mornings were sacred and the potlucks were legendary. But like most journeys of faith, mine hasn’t always been picture-perfect. It’s been full of questions, quiet whispers from God, and unexpected moments that shaped me more than any sermon ever could. This blog is a reflection of that journey, faith-filled, honest, and sometimes just plain funny.
By day, I juggle the wild (and wonderful) world of parenting. By night, I swap stories with my firefighter husband after his long shifts. And somewhere in between, I process life through writing, from deep reflections to retail horror stories that’ll make you laugh till you cry.
I started this blog for women like me, women who love Jesus but still struggle, who want to raise good humans, who’ve been burned out at work or burned by life, and who just need a place where faith and fun can exist in the same space.
You’ll find a little bit of everything here:
-
Faith reflections rooted in scripture and real-life experience
-
Mom life in all its unfiltered glory
-
Behind-the-scenes retail stories that are equal parts comedy and chaos
-
Encouragement for your soul and laughter for your heart
One of my favorite scriptures is Esther 4:14:
“Perhaps you were born for such a time as this”
That verse reminds me (and maybe you too) that nothing in our lives is random. Every moment, every role, every rough day has meaning.
So whether you’re here for inspiration, solidarity, or just a good chuckle, I hope you leave feeling seen, encouraged, and reminded that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be for such a time as this.
Thanks for being here. I’m so glad we get to walk this road together.
